Nice November

November 1, 2017
Where do little boys come up with the idea to put things in "holes" like their nose and ears? Beats me!

If you ask Isaac to smile, this is the adorable face you get to see! I love it so much!

Conner built this digger out of legos!

Today our sweet and loving Isaac turns 2! We've decided to do a friends birthday party on odd numbered birthdays and a family party on even birthdays. So this year was just the family! I had a lot of fun making Isaac's cake!
Isaac received this siren/light to go on the power wheels jeep!

The fire truck was also one of his presents

Isaac got this poop emoji woopie cushion that kept him giggling!

We love you so much, Isaac! Your twinkle in your eye and half smile make our lives so much more exciting! You are such a loving boy. We love your sparkling personality and watching the wheels turn in your head. You are a great problem solver and your smile is contagious!

Isaac wearing Grandma's glasses. I started calling him Grandma and he thought that was pretty funny!

We found a butterfly in the backyard!

Today Ammon finished a year long project. Look at the beautiful Dining Room Table and bench that he built for us! The table seats 6 chairs, but because of the bench, we can fit many kid butts on it, meaning we can seat more like 9 or 10! Ammon also built a square, removable extension so that we can fit even more people (shown in first picture).

Now it's Ammon's turn for a birthday party! He choose to have banana splits as his birthday treat! The boys and I surprised Ammon really good with a smoker!

I took the kids and their bikes/scooters/ride on toys to the church to ride around in the gym. While they road, I walked laps around the gym. Isaac thought this was the best ride! hehe

Our wonderful town of New Braunfels, TX is growing fast, but our holiday celebrations give it a small town feel! Although I LOVE Wassailfest, we skipped it this year to play in the snow. But we made sure to go to the Downtown Lighting where Santa comes to town!
We got there early enough that the Downtown Fire Station was open to look around. We were only there for about 5 minutes when they closed up because the fire truck is what Santa rides into town on, so they had to get ready for that!

We got to meet up with the Powell's!

Conner was excited to see Santa ride in on the fire truck
And then at the last minute he decided he didn't want to see Santa so he closed his eyes. Later, on our way home, he threw a fit, crying and yelling that he wanted to see Santa! Sometimes it's hard to be 3.
 But Isaac loved it all!

Conner drew this picture of himself today at church. PS- he insisted on wearing a tie today even though I explained he didn't need one because he was wearing a polo shirt.

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year! It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun as well! Make sure to check out the table! Ammon built this table, and man it is beautiful!
I had fun making little place cards

I learned this onion cutting trick from my sister, Kimberly! She wore goggles, but sunglasses work as well at keeping the onion juices from making you cry!

In the morning, I had 3 crafts for the kids to do and we also had appetizers out on the table. I wish I would have taken a picture of our feast, but when everything is hot you just want to get people eating! But it was a wonderful meal! Thank you everyone who brought food!
During the month of November each day I had Conner and the girl I watch tell me one thing they were thankful for, we wrote it on a leaf and added it to their thankful tree. This is Conner's Thankful Tree. Some days they gave silly answers (like Pandas) and other days they gave sweet and sincere answers (like my family). It was a fun thing to do. I'm sure we will do it again next year!

The day after Thanksgiving we packed up and went camping! We had so much fun and the boys LOVED it! We went to a place north of Austin called MuleShoe Bend. It's a great campground!
On Saturday Grandpa and Grandma Dietz and the Powell's joined us for the morning and the Cranmer's came and camped with us that night! It was so much fun, we decided we need to do this every year!

Conner got to go "fishing" by casting a bobber out (no hook). He loved fishing!

Ammon and Conner picked out some sticks for roasting marshmallows and Isaac picked out his own. Such a cute little stick! He'd point it at the fire (from plenty far back) for about 1.2 seconds and then say "all done!" and eat it! Although Conner had a more appropriate length of stick, he would hold his marshmallow over the fire for 5.7 seconds and then announce his marshmallow was all done. I roasted him a beautifully golden marshmallow and he did appreciate the perfection.

Caleb loved playing outside today!

November-December
Conner is taking a 4 week sports class for preschoolers through the city. He is having a lot of fun!
Week 1:  Basketball

Week 2: Soccer

Here's a fast speed video of Conner dribbling

 Conner Scores!

Week 3: T-Ball
He might need some practice catching, but he has a consistently good arm at throwing the ball back!

Week 4: Q-Tip Ball (I'm not sure if that is really the name or not...)
