July 2020

 July 2-4, 2020
Today we drove from my parent's house to Rexburg, ID for the Dietz Family Reunion. We got to stay in Aunt Debbie's RV which the kids thought was totally cool!

Emma found another little girl's baby doll and LOVED it!

This is Aunt Debbie's yard, they have this awesome playhouse with a huge sand box area out front, complete with a mud kitchen! The kids LOVED it!

This is the inside of the play house.

Ammon is taking the picture, so he's not in it. There are a couple of people missing from the picture, but this is the majority of Warren and Geraldine Dietz' posterity!

On the afternoon of July 4th, we headed back to Utah County for our Fourth of July celebrations!

July 4, 2020
We spent the evening at my sister, Kimberly's, house/neighborhood. I had forgotten how much I miss a 4th of July where you can set off your own fireworks. I had also forgotten how pleasant it is to be outside in the middle of summer in a dry climate. We might just have to go to Utah every year for the Fourth of July!

July 6-8, 2020
We spent a few days at my parent's house and now we are off again! Now we're headed to the Fisher Family Reunion! This is Ammon's Mom's side of the family.

 Conner and Talmage kayaking

Conner, Daddy and Isaac kayaking! We all had a turn out on the kayaks! They're our favorite!
We also did an AWESOME scavenger hunt and hung out with family!

July 8, 2020
Caleb has the cute 3 year old voice combined with the "I have older brothers" vocabulary and sometimes I just have to record what he says!

We left the little two home with Grandpa and Grandma and we went hiking with Elise and her kids (+ a cousin from Matt's side of the family). We hiked up Grove Creek Canyon where they had flags from all 50 states and a gigantic USA flag!
Isaac scurried up the side of this cliff before we realized it! Then of course all the other kids wanted to do it too. Oh, Isaac! Always full of adventure!

Of course we had to pick up Purple Turtle ice cream on our way home (some for the babysitters too!)!

July 9, 2020
My parents paid to have a science guy come and do a presentation while we were there; the kids loved it! We were so busy having fun this is the only picture I took!

And we always have fun with cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's house! Emma and Lucy greeting each other.

Emma and Luke reading books together!
Emma, Luke and Lucy are all born within 2 months of each other!

 July 10, 2020
Grandpa has a 4 wheeler we get to ride when we are at their house!

July 11, 2020
When the whole family is together, we have to get pictures taken! You never know when we will all be together again!

Mommas with the 3 "babies". They're not babies any more. They're toddlers! We will probably get a lot of pictures through the years of the 6 of us because these three kids were all born so close together!

 July 12, 2020
We walked up to Bridal Veil Falls. On our way back to the car, we played Pooh Sticks! It was so much fun!

July 13, 2020
We went to Thanksgiving Point Museum of Curiosity today and we had so much fun!
Emma really enjoyed her chocolate ice cream cone!

Isaac did an amazing job connecting pipes and tubes to transport the water!

We did not leave the museum dry...

When I saw Isaac doing this, I didn't think anything of it. He's turning the steering wheel to make the drill turn. A few minutes later I realized that there isn't an opening in the fence for him to get out to where he is. I investigated and discovered he just hopped the fence and climbed down to where the steering wheel was. That's my Isaac! Always figuring out how to make things work! I'm still not sure how they expected the kids to turn the steering wheel...

We had ice cream at the house that night. It's safe to say my kids love ice cream so much, they'll eat it any way they can! Upside down or licking it off the table!

Summer nights are GREAT for the park in Utah!

July 17, 2020
Today we went to a splash pad with some friends!

Grandpa and Grandma planned a fun activity where the kids got to hammer an ice block to get a toy out of the middle!

Afterwards...ice cream! Because at Grandpa and Grandma's house, you can NEVER be spoiled by too much sugar!

July 18, 2020
This is our favorite park here. But it's big, so it's harder to keep an eye on the kids, so we don't go as often as the kids would like. I put sunscreen on their faces and I don't rub it in so that I know when it's gone! Lol, that's why they have white faces.

I think Emma just continuously went down this slide the whole time we were there. She loved it!

The boys love the zip line!

There was this weird swing there. This video doesn't give it justice. It looked a lot more scary in person!

July 19, 2020
Grandma has a friend who has sheep!

July 19, 2020
Conner, Isaac and I took off during nap time and hiked Grove Canyon again. This time we brought shoes we could wear in the water so that we could hike up the river further!

July 24, 2020
Pioneer Day! More fireworks and outside fun! We started the morning with meeting some friends at an awesome kids playplace!

My parents' neighborhood normally does a car race on the 24th of July...no rules, just put fireworks on a car and then they light the fireworks and see whose goes the furthest. Unfortunately, they didn't do it this year (covid), but we made some anyways! Also, unfortunately, they didn't move. I guess we aren't very good at this. We'll have to come back again next year and try again!

We also made smores and did fireworks!

July 27, 2020
We had so much fun in Utah. Daddy flew back to Utah and now we are headed back home! At one point the boys wouldn't stop fighting, so I made them all put a blanket over there heads. Within a few minutes, they were all asleep!

July 30, 2020
Aria singing Baby Shark.
Conner: That's a baby song.
Aria: No it's not.
Conner: My cousin JD said it's a baby song and he knows much more than us.

Well, there you go JD. You know much more than two 5 year olds! LOL

Sometimes our dance parties turn into spinning and throwing ourselves on the couch!

We spent almost the whole month of July at Grandpa and Grandma's house. Ammon flew home and worked for 2 of the weeks, then flew back and we drove home. I have a lot of pictures from that month from no particular day...

While everyone was at my parent's house, we did a taste off. There is a company in Utah based off of making taste off kits, but we decided to do the leg work of driving around getting cookies (saved lotsa mula). We had a lot of fun doing a sugar cookie taste off with the adults. Smart Cookie ended up winning best sugar cookie in our family!

This isn't for us?

Sometimes naps don't happen at Grandma's house...

Emma loved giving her-size cousins hugs! But for some reason they were always running away from her, so a hug from behind it is! I think Luke was tolerant the first time, but the next 1,681 times he didn't like it as much. Lol

The boys got to do a 2 week session of swimming lessons while we were there; they LOVED it! They've already asked many times to go do swimming lessons at Grandma's house again!
As we were headed into the pool area one day, I said, "Caleb, there's your teacher." And Caleb said, "She's my favorite!" Le LOVES swimming lessons and never wants to get out at the end!

Wet from a water balloon fight!

One of our favorite after dinner activities was flying Grandpa's airplanes and riding bikes in the front yard!

Ummm...Emma, sorry to break it to you, but that's a toy car garage, not a chair...
