November 2019

November 1, 2019
Caleb went to help me wake Emma up after her nap and he climbed in to get her pacifier for her. He's not suppose to be in the crib, but it's so cute that he wanted to help his sister!

Today was Conner and Isaac's last day of baseball. They had a great season and both of them had so much fun! They received participation trophies...

Tonight we let the boys have an indoor campout. It was just Conner and Isaac because Caleb doesn't sleep well when he isn't in his own bed.

Chuck E Cheese has become a family favorite place to go. Today while we were there there were a lot of birthday parties. When Chuck E Cheese sang happy birthday to them, Isaac thought he was singing to them (since his birthday is in a couple of days) so he gave Chuck E a big hug! It was cute!

Isaac turned 4 years old today! He is growing up so fast!

November 15, 2019
Caleb's vocabulary is expanding and we are understanding more of what he is saying. Today I was holding him on the trampoline and he points over my shoulder and says, "mis-mis!" I look where he is pointing and two houses down they have up Christmas lights. It is so cute to hear his new words and that he remembers Christmas (mis-mis) lights from last year!

When I'm coming home from the grocery store, I always pull into the driveway across the street and say, "We're home!" Then Isaac says, "That's not our house!" And then I back into our driveway. It's just a little game we play. Today when I said "we're home!" Caleb got a big smile and said, "Not our house!" It was so cute! And fun to see him learning the little game we play!

Conner's school class met up at a small amusement park today. I left Caleb and Emma home with a babysitter and took Conner and Isaac. We had a fun time.

It was fun to get some time with just the older two boys!

Today the kids went to the dentist. Isaac made me laugh when he climbed up in the chair, took off his shoes and laid back. I guess the dentist is a pretty relaxing place for him! LOL

Allison went to a cookie decorating class with her friends. She is having fun learning the art of royal frosting!

Today was Conner's Thanksgiving Feast at school. Emma and I got to go participate!

All the kids sit on the floor to eat

Every year we head downtown for the Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa's Arrival. It is such a fun thing that our city does and gets the Christmas holidays started (even though they do it before Thanksgiving...). This year, just the boys and I went. Daddy stayed home with Emma.

Today we had fun raking leaves! They were so "tickley" when the boys laid in them!

November 24, 2019
The kids are in the backyard playing and Conner brought a toy inside and this is my conversation with him:
Me: Put the toy on the blanket box.
Conner: It broke again.
Me: It will probably always break easily since Caleb broke it the first time.
Conner: What did you say?
Me: (repeat the last)
Conner: No the other thing.
Me: (repeat the first)
Conner: No the thing you said about watching tv.
Me: I didn't say anything about watching tv. Go back outside and play.
Conner: But it's SOOOOOOOOO hot outside! It's burning my brains!
Me: Then play in the shade!
This summer was over 100 degrees. Today is a beautiful, sunny 58 degrees.

Oh. My. Goodness! Here she goes! Emma's trying to figure out this crawling thing!

She has also figured out playing with this toy...

And she is definitely the cutest turkey this year!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Some of our Thanksgiving Traditions:
We set up our "Christmas" Tree at the beginning of November, and then the kids get to make Thanksgiving decorations to make it our Thanksgiving Tree. I could have sworn I took pictures of it...but I can't find them, so I guess not.
We also make Thankful Trees. Yes it's different! Each child (who is old enough) gets a poster with a bare tree. Each day they think of something they are thankful for, we write it on a leaf, and stick it to the tree! By the time Thanksgiving arrives, we have a whole tree full of wonderful things! This year, Conner got to write them!

And of course, sharing a delicious meal with our family!

Something else that is becoming a Thanksgiving tradition for us is going camping the day after Thanksgiving at Enchanted Rock. This year we invited some friends to come with us! It was so much fun! Camping is ALOT of HARD WORK as a parent, but it's so worth it! The kids have so much fun, and we make such fun memories! I have so many happy pictures...I'll try to narrow it down...some.
It always cracks Ammon and I up when we get the tent set up and the kids immediately want to go to bed! Tents are just so amazing to sleep in, they don't want to wait until it's dark!

Sleeping in a tent is so exciting that we might get less sleep than normal...maybe...

And now...time to CLEAN UP from camping!
