October 2018

Growing up my family had waffles for breakfast every on General Conference Sundays. I like to carry on that tradition, so we frequently have Conference Waffles too!

I've had this idea for a while that I want to build low-loft beds for Conner and Isaac. I wanted a bed off the floor, but not too high. I HATE making beds on bunk beds because the top bunk is so high! I want to incorporate a dresser and shelves into the bed. The shelves will be used for their personal possessions. This helps free up floor space in their bedroom. Ammon and I have been cutting and staining the wood and today we put the beds together!

Daddy needed some weight on the board to hold it in place while putting in a screw, so Isaac helped out!

Conner learning to use the drill.

Caleb wanted to use the drill too!

Caleb was the best helper! When his brothers went off to play, Caleb stayed right next to Daddy in case he needed help!

The beds are all done! We love them!

I got to volunteer at Conner's school today for their Fall festival. They did all sorts of fun activities!

Ammon and I got to go out on a date to a comedy show called Potted Potter. It was a 90 minute recap of all 7 Harry Potter books. It was such a fun night!

Along the Guadalupe River there is a place called Gypsy River Resort and they put on a very small fall festival. They have many different photo spots there. After a friend told me about the place, I made the family go so we could get some nice family pictures! Some turned out better than others, but that's just the way pictures go...especially with kids!

Halloween! This year we had Optimus Prime, Gekko and Mr Bones. Isaac has wanted to be Gekko since last Halloween, so this was a big deal for him. He was so excited and VERY proud of his costume!
We carved 1 pumpkin as a family. We used hammers and golf tees (like at Conner's preschool fall festival) and let the boys have fun!
We also got to go to Conner's school and watch the costume parade!

I had a special costume this year too....
