January 2020

 January
Here are some fun things that Isaac did in his 1 day a week preschool in January:

January 14, 2020
We are so excited to be going to see JD and Maia! And Matt, Elise and Luke!

January 15, 2020
This is a funny exchange between Luke and Emma. Emma wants to try Luke's milk and keeps diving for it open mouthed! LOL

January 16, 2020
We went to a play place called Makutu Island and had a blast! So much so that we didn't really take pictures and the ones we did take we couldn't sit still for so they are kinda blurry...

January 17, 2020
We went to a park in Scottsdale and had a lot of fun!

January 19, 2020
On Sunday we took some impromptu family pictures in Cranmer's backyard.

That afternoon we went for a little hike/nature walk.

And went to Aunt Terri's for dinner where I snagged this funny video of Caleb and JD
We had such a fun trip to Arizona! It was so fun to see all of the family. We've really missed living near the Cranmer family!

Conner told me that when he grows up he wants to be a Monster Truck Driver. He informed me that he would drive his monster truck in "Sany Antonio." I was surprised because I didn't know he knew the name of San Antonio. He told me that if Sany Antonio is too far away, I could watch him on tv.

Conner's class will sometimes have a "fieldtrip" on Fridays, because they don't have school on Fridays. Parents bring and stay with their child the whole time. It's not school sponsered, one of the parents organizes them all. This field trip was to a grocery store, HEB.

January 25, 2020
Playing with our good friends at the playground at Conner's school.

January 26, 2020
Isaac currently has a catch phrase. If he wants to get your attention he'll say "Let me tell you something..."

January 27, 2020
For FHE we learned about Nephi's bow breaking and making a new one. Ammon made some bows and arrows for the boys so they could shoot just like Nephi did!

January 29, 2020
I asked Caleb to get his socks and crocs on because we were headed to a socks-only play place. This kid has a sense of humor!

Here's the play place:

And a little ropes course that Isaac LOVED!

December 2019

 December 4, 2019
Every few months Conner's class has a writing celebration where parents get to come listen to their child read them some of the things they've been writing.

Isaac hit Conner with a toy. I'm sure it stung a little, but no big pain. Conner over reacted by crying and saying, "It feels like a lions bite!"

December 5, 2019
Conner's class got the opportunity to go to the first act of the Nutcracker. It is put on for school age kids. One of his classmate's parents are the ones who choreograph the play at the SA Tobin Center.

December 8, 2019
All the kids in Conner's class were asked to make a homemade Christmas tree decoration and bring it to school for their classroom Christmas tree. Conner wanted to make a star for the top of the tree, which is right up my craft-alley. He also wanted to make some salt dough ornaments. These were projects we worked on for a week or so...

And we decorated our Christmas tree today!

December 10, 2019
Look at our cute little present!

December 11, 2019
Isaac said, "I want to watch the snowman movie. The one that says, "What's wrong? Haven't you seen a talking snowman before?" " I'm impressed because we haven't watched Frosty the Snowman yet this year, so he's remembering that movie quote from a year ago!

December 12, 2019
Conner's school Christmas Concert. It's funny, at home, Conner loves to sing. Like, LOVES TO SING! But every time we watch him sing at school....he looks miserable! HAHA!

December 13, 2019
Isaac has been being mean to his brothers lately, and Santa heard about it and dropped a letter off at our house one night for him. The letter tells Isaac that if he doesn't start being nice, he will get coal. There were 8 pictures of coal at the bottom of the page that he had to cover with a sticker each time he did a service for his brothers.

December 17, 2019
Every Tuesday the kids go to Chapel. This week was a special Chapel, because the Kindergarten students get to perform the Nativity Play. I thought I could edit the clip....but I didn't see where I was suppose to while it was uploading. The beginning of the play starts at about 0:55. It's a little hard to hear, so you might need to turn up the volume a bit more than normal. Also, one of the shepherds was out sick, so Conner and his friend aren't sure who is suppose to say his part since he's gone.

December 20, 2019
Grandpa and Grandma Eggett get to spend Christmas with us this year and we are so excited! The boys got to help Grandpa make cookies!

December 21,2019
Every year we try to do "Dollar Bowling" sometime around either Thanksgiving or Christmas. When you get a spare or strike, you get a $1 bill. The bowling alley by us has an arcade in it and the boys ALWAYS want to play the games! So this year we changed it to "Quarter Bowling" so that they would have quarters to spend in the arcade when we were done. They LOVED it! While we were bowling, there was a large group next to us having a Christmas party. Santa came to their party, and even gave the boys a treat! Thank you Santa!

 Playing in the arcade!

The CRRC in a neighboring town puts on Santa's Village each year. It was a gem to discover last year, and we were so excited to share it with Grandpa and Grandma this year! It is the cutest thing! It takes place inside a gym and they have a little village set up. Inside each place is an activity. In the church you hear about Baby Jesus being born, there is North Pole ice fishing (think carnival style fishing game), a Library where each child gets to pick out a book to take home, a Post Office where you write and mail a letter to Santa, an Animal Shelter where each child gets to pick out a stuffed animal to take home, a Bakery where each child gets to decorate cookies to eat, and more! It is amazing!

December 22, 2019
Today we decorated a gingerbread house! We had a lot of fun!

December 24, 2019
One of the traditions my family had when I was a kid was to go out to eat for breakfast a few days before Christmas. My parents have continued this tradition, so when we are spending Christmas with them, we get to join in!

December 25, 2019
Caleb says, "Merry Mis-Mis!"
Ammon made the kids this awesome lego table for Christmas! We had such a great day!

We try to do a few short videos each Christmas. Ammon and I love watching the videos that my parents made from Christmas mornings - seeing what kinds of toys we liked, our voices and cute things we said. We try to get a video from opening stockings and then one at the end of the day of each of the kids showing us their presents. This one is my favorite from this year:

December 31, 2019
Our traditional New Years Eve celebration includes snack foods all night and a balloon drop! We celebrate around 9:00pm so that our kids get to stay up later than normal, but not so late they're grumpy the next day. We invited some friends over to make the evening even more fun!

Filling the balloon drop
Happy New Year!
