Emma learned how to use a straw faster than any of our other kids. I remember with the boys first putting my finger on the end of a straw and then dropping the water in their mouth. Then trying to coax the boys to suck on a straw so they would get something out. I always knew once they got something, they'd get it. Emma never had to be taught. I gave her a straw and she just got it!

We love our backyard. Subdivision homes in our area typically have a pretty small backyard. The backyard on this house is very big compared to most. Which is a big reason we bought this house! We spend a lot of time in our back yard! Here is some more of our backyard fun!

This is a funny video of Caleb...
Boys are so funny! I wouldn't think to use my mouth to transport water from the water table into the funnel. But it seems to be a no-brainer for boys. And then! Wash the booger off in the water and keep going! 😂

The boys are so sweet to Emma. They lover her so much! I knew that if she tried to hold her own otter pop, it would end up dirty. When I asked the boys to share with Emma, they were excited to!

Emma has started engaging me in stare downs. When she is about to do something naughty (like push buttons on the dishwasher) and I catch her and tell her "no-no", she stands poised ready to do it and just watches me. She is just waiting for me to stop paying attention. If I keep watching her, she'll last about 5 minutes before giving up and finding something else to do. Most of the time I find myself laughing at some point during our stare downs. She keeps a straight face the WHOLE time. I'm sure she's thinking, "That's fine, I'll just wait until you look away."

For Mother's Day I wanted a special breakfast...homemade french toast! MMMmmmm!

Ammon and the kids made me a cute Candy Bar poster. And we went for a walk/bike ride at the park!

And Peach Pie that evening! It was such a fun, relaxing day!

Before Covid shut down surgeries, Isaac was scheduled to have eye surgery to help straighten his eyes (he has strabismis). It ended up getting cancelled. The new day is here! Isaac didn't know what was happening; as a 4 year old, we were afraid talking to him before the surgery day would cause too much anxiety. So this morning we explained that he was going to go to the eye doctor and take a nap. When he woke up, his eyes would be sore, but better! Before we left, Conner gave Isaac such a sweet hug!

Pre-surgery; roaring like a tiger that is on his special jammies.
The doctor told me everything to expect from the surgery. And he was spot on, no surprise. But for some reason I thought it was going to be short, more like a procedure (even though they called it a surgery). I don't know why I didn't comprehend that. It was about a 2 hour surgery. I had told Isaac we would stop and get him a donut on the way home. But he definitely wasn't up for getting a donut. He did, however, feel up to a donut the next day after his post-surgery check up. He did great; even though it wasn't fun. He is a brave, strong boy!

Happy 3rd Birthday Caleb!
Grandma Eggett (my mom) bought us dinner; between eye surgery and a birthday, we had a busy couple of days. It was so sweet of her! Then Caleb chased a lizard (every lizard at our house is named Larry) and eventually caught it! Then we opened presents and had a Puppy Dog Pals cake!

Emma loves being thrown into the air; she giggles in anticipation!

Awe! Our last little face plastered to the back door! It's been fun seeing each kid in this stage of wanting to go outside so bad, but can't walk yet so they have to stay inside! Thus the face on the window!

Caleb was helping me make lunch and he saw the picture on the PB. "Mom! It's Peter Pan!" I was impressed he knew who it was from a silhouette picture!

Emma loves it when she sneaks into her big brother's bed!

Aria! The kids were so excited to have Aria over to play today!

This school year did NOT end the way we had imagined. But it ended none the less. Conner had a great school year with a fabulous teacher, Mrs. Harley. Here is some of Conner's art work from the year:

Each year they have a Thanksgiving Feast at school. Each child gets to make their own place mat for the feast.

This one cracks me up. I'm glad he is so joyful about the pets (that we don't have)! And the after thought of cousins, mom and dad! Haha! In all seriousness, he is truly a thoughtful little boy!

Conner had to write a non-fiction book during Covid-School. Obviously, I had to help him to research, but he chose the topic, what he wanted to write on each page and then did the work of writing and illustrating his book!

We had an outdoor graduation, which was  different than we had expected, but they did a fabulous job with it! Here is a short clip of it, when Conner received his award from his teacher:

Memorial Day Weekend is here! We had a BBQ at the Powell's house and Sadie just got a kitten. Caleb was IN LOVE! He kept asking to hold the kitty!

And then! Conner had a loose tooth so Daddy pulled it out! This is our first tooth!

For a long time Ammon and I have wanted to paint the interior walls of our house. Flat paint is standard here; have you ever had flat paint? Have you ever had babies and toddlers with flat paint? I don't know why flat paint would EVER be standard! You can't wash it. Yup - all the food splatters on the wall from when Conner was a baby - still there! If you try to wash flat paint, the paint just wipes off.
Anyways, so here we go!
I quickly (like VERY QUICKLY) learned to paint a box and then have these boys paint inside the box. They had fun...for about 10  minutes.

We have the alligator game. You know, the one where the alligator has a tooth ache and you have to push each tooth down in turn. If you push down the rotten tooth, he bites you. Caleb is the most funny kid with it! He LOVES the game, but refuses to push any teeth down. And when it bites somebody, he has the cutest reaction!

 Just some May pictures:
Emma is a climber. I think she climbs more than all 3 boys combined.

You know when you all of a sudden realize it's quite and you panic? A lot of the time I find Emma reading books to herself, which I just think is so cute!

Caleb was holding Larry the Lizard and then he jumped and Caleb couldn't find him anymore. Where did he go?

Wait, you wanted me to EAT the banana?

He looks pretty relaxed!
