Superb September

September 1, 2017
At our house, when we play "This Little Piggie" our piggies go/eat all sorts of different things. For example, they go to Grandpa Eggett's house to eat chocolate chip cookies, Grandma Dietz's house to eat pancakes, Aunt Elise's house for cupcakes, etc... Here is Conner playing "This Little Piggie"

What a cutie Caleb is! We love the baby stage of wide open smiles!

This weekend (Labor Day Weekend), Conner and Isaac got to go have a sleepover with their cousins JD and Maia from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon. Ammon and I worked on getting our laundry room tiled! Here's our progress:
Dry fittting the tiles
 Tiles actually laid
 Tiles cleaned and grouted
 Tiles sealed
 Project finished!

Our boys typically take baths in our garden tub (master bathroom) and after they find it so much fun to get in Daddy and Momma's bed! They think they're so funny!

This is something my sister did with her kids, and I loved it so I've done it with my kids, and now Kimberly has started it too, so I guess it's an Eggett tradition now! It is so much fun, and we LOVE putting these ornaments on our Christmas tree each year!

Caleb got to play dress-up today (he says, "Thanks Momma") so we could send some pictures to Aunt K-K to see if our new cousin baby Walter would like one of them. Our past 2 years in Texas has taught us these costumes are much too hot for Texas Halloweens.
Real life picture: Isaac wanted to be in the picture and Conner is on time out 😂

Conner rode over to me and said, "I'm a Lamenite!" Haha, funny kid! When I told the story to Grandma Eggett, she said, "Hopefully he was Samuel!" LOL

September 8, 2017
Today we found a baby frog in the backyard! It was fun trying to catch it and hold it! The boys loved it! Also, Isaac likes playing t-ball. I think he has a lot of sports in his future...why, you ask? To give him a way to get all of his energy out!

We always love a Cougar Fan picture! This picture is love. I had planned for the boys to wear these clothes today (because it's the annual BYU/UofU game), but last minute decided to go out of town to Houston to help with the Hurricane cleanup. So I asked Ammon to make sure the boys wear the BYU shirts today, and send me a picture so that I show off their Cougar Pride. He did. That's true love, thanks Ammon!

Our stake (part of our church) along with the stakes north of us all the way to north Austin were asked to send volunteers to participate as part of the Mormon Helping Hands in Houston helping clean up after Hurricane Harvey. We were asked to go just a few days before the weekend. Ammon and I decided it would be a good opportunity for me, so Ammon flew solo with the kids while I went. We drove up early in the morning on Saturday and got home dinner time on Sunday. It was indescribable. I've seen pictures of post-hurricane damage before, but seeing it yourself is...there are no words. It's something I'll always remember - what we saw, smelled and the experience of gratitude from the home owners. On Sunday while we were cleaning up, a man who was also a Mormon Helping Hands, but not from our group, passed out these snack bags to all the volunteers. I was excited because they came from Gilbert, AZ where some of my cousins live. I thought "What a small world it would be if my cousins packed these bags!" It turns out that they didn't, but still, the fact that these snack packs came all the way from AZ, just gave me the warm fuzzies :)

Today we decided to try out a couple of the neighborhood parks. It's always fun to try out some new playgrounds!

September 15, 2017
I think matching clothes are so cute handsome! Also, it's hard enough getting two boys to sit still enough to get a picture, I'm in trouble when Caleb starts getting in the pictures with them!

September 17, 2017
Another project we have been working on is in our backyard. We purchased some rubber flooring mats and made a bike path in our backyard. My kids love to ride bikes (tricycles, scooters, ride on toys, etc) but don't have a good place to ride them, problem solved! And then, to top it off, cousin Maia passed down her jeep for the kids to ride on the path! SO MUCH FUN!

The jeep isn't quite big enough for 3!

September 18, 2017
This funny kid! Isaac dumped his fruit snacks out on the table and then I guess he thought it was too much effort to lift them to his mouth, so instead, he just ate them right off of the table!

September 19, 2017
Laundry baskets make great pretend cars!

September 20, 2017
I gave the kids a little Nutella and let them dip pretzels in it. I'm always shocked when they make a big mess with chocolate because if it were me, I'd make sure every drop made it INTO my mouth!

September 21, 2017
We're so excited! We are headed to Utah for Aunt Elise and (soon to be) Uncle Matt's wedding! Somehow the early morning (and late night on the way home) flights are always the cheapest, and when we book the flights we're like "oh we can do that, it's worth the money" and then the night before we are like "what were we thinking, we have to get up SO early!" Lol!
Early morning excitement turns into silliness!

Because of how early we woke up, both Conner and Isaac crashed in the car on our way to Grandpa and Grandma Eggett's house!

Caleb found a new seat!

September 22, 2017
Isaac always loves to go for a ride on toys!

Of course we had to take the kids to show them BYU. Funny story:

Congratulations Matt, Elise, JD and Maia!!! What a happy day!

JD challenged Matt to a light saber battle to welcome him to the family. After they had fought for a few minutes, they passed out light sabers to all the kids. It was SO MUCH FUN!

SpArKleRs to send the Cranmers on their honeymoon!

Grandpa and Grandma rented a bouncy slide while we were there. We had so much fun on it!

We spent a lot of time outside today with all the neighborhood kids. Conner learned how to pedal a tricycle today! He did awesome! JD was riding bikes with all the other boys his age and Conner really wanted to keep up. They were riding to the next cul-de-sac and Conner was trying to go with them. I wasn't comfortable with him going by himself because even though he was pedaling twice as fast as all the big boys, he couldn't keep up. But when I walked behind or next to him he stopped riding and said "Mom! Go away!" I could tell he was embarrassed that he was the only one with his mom walking with him. So then Daddy took a turn walking with him.

The kids also had a lot of fun digging in Grandpa and Grandma's garden and finding worms!

September 26, 2017
Isaac has a deep love for bikes.

And we got family pictures taken!

September 27, 2017
Today we went to an all-abilities park and had so much fun!

Then we went to Wilerson Farm and had such a fun time!
Riding on tractor bikes

 Climbing the pumpkin mountain

 Hay ride

The boys LOVED that the hay ride was pulled by a tractor!
These are big plastic tubes that they made into slides. They're really fast slides even with all the ridges!

Ammon and I got to go on a date and leave the kids with Grandpa and Grandma! We had so much fun! We drove around and saw where Ammon grew up, went to The Baked Bear (YUM!) and went and saw a movie!
