Corpus Christi

This weekend we went to Corpus Christi and Port A! We drove to Corpus Saturday morning and met the Powell's at the Aquarium. What a fun aquarium they have! After the aquarium we went out to eat for lunch, then headed to Port Aransas. We were disappointed that it was super windy, so windy that most of us didn't get in the water. But we played in the sand on the beach and grilled up these yummy Kabobs I had made!

It was windy enough that we didn't want to take our camera down by the water, so this is a picture of us heading back to the car. As you can tell by Conner's face, he had such a fun time that he didn't want to leave!

But five minute after putting him in the car he had already fallen asleep.

That night we stayed in a hotel in Port A. In the parking lot Conner found this golf cart (a common form of transportation in Port A) and had to sit on it!

The next morning we drove back into Corpus to go to the USS Lexington. It reminded us of the USS Midway in San Diego. We had a fun time!

Anything is a slide to this cute boy!

He L.O.V.E.D. being able to climb in and on things!

When he got naughty, we'd just send him to the brig!

The top deck was by far Conner's favorite! He LOVED seeing all the planes! He ran around saying "Plane! Plane! Plane!"

We even had a hard time getting this crazy off of the uncomfortable bed!

He's definitely a little nervous about sitting on this seat!

After the USS Lexington we picked up some lunch and took it to this amazing park, Cole Park. It had a fantastic playground! Conner loved it!

We wore him out again. This time he napped as we drove home. We had such a fun trip! We love doing little weekend getaway to see new places! We will definitely come back again when the weather is better for swimming in Port A!
