Baby Bird
Conner has really been liking baby food! So far he's had green beans and now zucchini. It's hard for us to feed him as fast as he eats, so he often opens his mouth and makes an "ehh ehh" sound to let us know he's waiting for more food! Just like baby birds! Here's a little video of our baby birdy :)
Conner's Cry
This is from when Conner was 12 days old. I never got it posted, but here it is now! It's kind of long, don't feel like you have to watch the whole thing :)
Conner has a very distinctive cry. I've had people at church (okay, only women) tell me that they know when it's Conner crying because it's unique. This video doesn't capture it completely, but it comes pretty close. It's been described at a "starting the engine" cry and a "rusty door" cry.

Halloween!
This is Conner's first Halloween. Of course he had no idea what was going on, but we loved his costume! What an adorable penguin! For our Halloween celebration this year we went trick or treating with the Powell's for about half an hour, then went back to their house to eat finger food dinner while watching the movie Tower of Terror. We had a lot of fun!

Christmas Stockings
I started thinking about how quickly Christmas was going to sneak up on me this year. Yup, it's already started! Where did October go? I realized Conner didn't have a stocking, and since I love creating things, including sewing projects, I decided to make Conner a stocking. Then I decided maybe I should make a few stockings for future kids so that they all look the same. On the blog where I found the pattern I used, they suggested making a few extra in case of holiday guests, such as grandparents. So I decided to make a few more! I ended up making 8 stockings! There were just so many cute Christmas fabrics! Here they are! I love how they turned out!
Here's the link to the pattern that I used. It's really simple, although there were a few steps I had to read a couple of times to understand what she meant. I'd really recommend this pattern. The stockings are a perfect size! The only things I did differently is that I added a very thin batting to the front, back and cuff pieces to make them a little fluffy. I like the look of fluffy stockings better than completely flat ones. But that's just my preference!

BOO
This is one of my favorite videos of Conner so far! He is such a smiley baby and he loves to laugh. He often laughs so much he gets the hiccups (just like his daddy!). It seems like whenever we pull out the video camera, he doesn't "perform" as well as when it's just us. But this one he did! I love the cute little boy and his laugh! He brings so much joy and happiness to our family!
Isn't his smile just so cute!

Happy Conner
Conner loves to kick and "dance" when we lay him in the pack n play. Normally he goes wild! Of course because the video camera was out, he didn't go as wild as normal, but here he is happy!
Conner's First Baby Food
Conner had his first baby food! Cooked green beans! He loved them! We haven't quite figured out how to edit our videos yet, so this is long and needs to be cut shorter. Just watch a little bit!
Conner Waking Up
Every morning I wake up to the sound of Conner talking in his crib. It is a wonderful sound - so much better than a crying baby! When I go in to get him, he is always so full of smiles! I really wanted to capture it on video and we tried, but there are two problems. #1 although to our eyes there is plenty of light in his room, the camera didn't have enough light and #2 Conner saw that daddy was holding something (camera) and was interested in that and didn't smile as much as normal. But here's the video anyways because how can I resist sharing a video with such a cute and loving little boy in it? We sure love you Conner!

Tag Toys
I made these tag toys for Conner. I used cellophane bags on the inside to give them the crinkly sound!

Our Future Missionary
Conner received this white polo onsie and tie at my baby shower, and it fits him now! I thought it was so cute. He looks like a little missionary! So of course I wanted pictures!

Conner's First Cousins Movie Sleepover Party
Conner had his first Cousins sleepover party this weekend! The theme was the movie "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids."
We played games that involved finding small things!
This first game was a container of rice with some small safety pins in it. The goal is to get out as many safety pins as you can. At the end of 1 minute, you count the number of safety pins (+1 point) and grains of rice (-1 point) and add up your total. Conner enjoyed watching this game!
This is a game where you press flour into a mold (I used a tupperware) then turn it out onto a flat surface. Then put a coin on top. Everyone takes turns cutting away part of the flour. Whoever makes the cut that causes the coin to fall into the flour has to get the coin out with their mouth. We had to play the game 4 times because each of them wanted a turn to get the coin out!
Sadie was the cleanest!
Avri took a HUGE chunk of flour out because she wanted to be next!
Talmage won the third game!
I didn't think Rigdon would want to get the coin out since he hates being dirty, but he did! I thought this was such a funny face! Once I told him the flour was not in his eyes, he opened them and smiled!
Our last activity was some hidden pictures. You know, where there are objects hidden in a picture :) The kids had fun with it!
We watched the movie, "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids." After the part where all the kids got shrunk, we went into the kitchen to find all of these shrunken treats!
Conner loved watching the movie with the big kids! He loves hanging out with his cousins so much!

Four Year Anniversary
Today is our Four Year Anniversary! Here's how we celebrated!
Such a beautiful boquet of flowers!
Yes, the tool chest is now in our kitchen. Man we can't wait to have a house with a garage!
Conner fits perfectly in my new crock pot!

Texas
We recently took a trip to Texas and had a great time! Our first stop was Krum, TX to visit Josh and Amber. It was so fun to see them again! Here are the cute cousin pictures we took :)
We had a really fun time in San Antonio! On our way home, we spent a night at Ryan and Tassia's house near Dallas. It's fun to see cousins! We had a wonderful vacation!
Then we went on to San Antonio. One of our favorite parts was the River Walk. We ate at a Mexican restaurant and got taco salads that were so yummy!
We also drove to Corpus Cristi and a small beach town a little past it called Port A. The water in the Gulf was SO warm, like bath water! Conner enjoyed it!
