Caleb is loving school! He stopped taking naps this past May when he turned 4, but he keeps falling asleep on the afternoons he has school, so we're going to have to go back to naps on school days!

3 days of the week it's just Emma and I in the mornings. We're enjoying our time together! Today we went to the McKenna Children's Museum.

We picked up Caleb from preschool and were getting in the van. I asked Caleb what he did at preschool today. He put his hand on his forehead and shook his head slowly saying, "I need my teacher to come out here to tell you!"

This is how Emma pouts and says "No!" when she doesn't want to do something. Needless to say, we find it cute, which she doesn't appreciate.

Today is Cowboy/girl day at Caleb's school! They each made a bandana and stick horse. They got to have horse races, which parents were invited to go watch! Ammon and Emma got to go; they had fun watching!
The Comal County Fair is a big deal here. School is out the Friday of the fair, and the Thursday is always Cowboy/girl day at school. I didn't hear anything about the kids dressing up this year, but I knew about this before my kids started public school because it's such a big deal. Anyways, Conner and Isaac dressed up as cowboys. Isaac was super excited. Conner was nervous he'd be the only one dressed up. Turns out, the school didn't do it this year. I'm not sure why. Conner came home in his cowboy clothes and was happy - I suppose nobody made a big deal about him wearing cowboy clothes, so he was fine. Isaac on the other hand, had changed clothes (Kindergartners are required to keep a set of spare clothes in their backpacks). I'm guessing kids were asking him why he was dressed like that and he got self conscience.
Caleb and Emma like to ride the four wheeler (and jeep) together in the back yard!
Today was Grandparents Day at school for Conner and Isaac. They are so blessed to have grandparents who live so close and can participate! Grandparents Day is where grandparents can go eat lunch with their grandkids. Lunch is 20 minutes long, and Conner and Isaac's lunches overlap for 10 minutes. It was perfect because they each got to have some special time alone with Grandpa and Grandma, and time with their brother!

Tonight was Back To School night at the elementary school. Conner and Isaac got to show us around the school and where everything is. Grandma Eggett is in town, so Caleb and Emma got to stay home with her!
That night the kids got in Grandma's bed and Conner read them a story!

The Cranmers came in town this weekend too! It was so much fun! We took Grandma, Aunt Elise and Luke to story time with us today and had so much fun!
