Happy 7th birthday, Conner!  This year he gets a birthday party with friends! But tonight is the birthday celebration with family. Conner asked for brownies for his birthday treat. I loved it - so simple and very delicious!

The boys have swimming lessons this week (and next). Caleb and Isaac are in the same class.

Today is Conner's birthday party! He said he wanted a party where we play party games and for it to be Toy Story themed. We played musical chairs, Toy Story Bingo, Pin the eye on the alien and Toy Story Don't Eat Pete. It was a fun party!

Ammon and Isaac happened to be standing near the front door.

Ammon: It's windy outside.

Isaac: I want to meet Wendy! *As he looks out the window next to the front door, as if Wendy is about to knock.*

This weekend we are headed to Ammon's sister's to meet her new baby. When we got into Dallas, we stopped at a really fun splash pad.

 

After that we finished the drive to Amber's house. I find it interesting the natural differences in my boys and my girl. One that has been very apparent recently is that my boys don't notice babies, but Emma sure does! Everywhere we go, she'll find the baby and want to show it to me. Emma was very excited to hold Amber's baby - her new cousin. I don't think the boys did much more than acknowledge her! haha

That night we stayed in a hotel, which was of course Caleb's favorite part of the trip!

As we were leaving the hotel this morning, Emma and I were ahead of everyone else. After I turned the corner for the elevator, she stood there, directing her brothers and Daddy where to turn. It was funny and cute!

At Amber's house, Emma wanted to hold the baby again!

Conner is doing a second session of swimming lessons (at a different pool) with one of his school friends.

This summer I told both Conner and Isaac that if they read 20 days, then they could have a reward. I let them pick what they wanted. They both chose a 2 scoop ice cream cone. Isaac earned his a couple of days ago. When we went to pick out his ice cream, he decided he would rather have 1 scoop plus a topping.

June 24, 2021

This morning I found Emma in Conner and Isaac's room; she had brought her bedding in there and was laying down for a pretend nap.

 

Isaac: What's That?

Me: Canteloupe

Isaac: What does it taste like?

Me: Candy.

Isaac: I guess that's why they call it candy-loupe.

Me: Yup! Exactly.

 Hopefully he'll like the candy-loupe.

Both Conner and Isaac received summer camps for their birthday presents from Grandpa and Grandma Eggett. They both got to do a 2 hr/day camp for a week (5 days). Conner's was a Secret Agent Training Camp and Caleb got to go to Cooks With Books. Both of his older brothers got to do this class as part of their 3 year old preschool year, but they don't offer it during the school year anymore. They read books like "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie", made a craft to go with the book, and made (and ate!) cookies. Each day was a different book. Both classes were so much fun for the boys!

 

I just asked Emma for a kiss. She turned around, stuck her butt out and made a farting sound. #boymom #3boys1girl

Today Emma started telling Ammon and I, "You're naughty! Ha. Ha. Ha!" And a little later added "You need spankings!" It's too funny!

Jade is on her way over. Caleb and Emma both LOVE their friend Jade. They had pulled up and they were waiting for her to walk up to the door. I don't think they were excited at all 😉

The kiddos all had dentist appointments today. It wasn't Emma's first, but considering she's just 2 yo, she did amazing (actually, she was less nervous than Caleb!). That might be due to the fact that they had Minnie Mouse glasses, so she could hardly wait for her turn!
