Conner
lost his 4th tooth! He can officially sing, "All I Want for Christmas
Is My Two Front Teeth." Video to come...it took us a while to learn and
record the song. I think one of his adult teeth is 1/2 way in by the
time we record it...oops.

Today was Isaac's birthday party. We had such a great time! I made his party into it's own post, so check it out!

This morning I was giving the kids a bath. Isaac and Emma took a bath first. Emma was ready to get out so I got both of them out and put Caleb in the bath. I get Emma dressed while Isaac is getting dressed...you see where this is going...and next thing I know, Emma is bringing me a towel. I'm confused for 1 second before I realize...
Funny conversation with Isaac about a plastic Luigi figurine:
Isaac: Mom, do you know where Conner's Luigi toy is?
Me: No.
Isaac: Oh yeah! I threw it in the trash because I was mad at him.
Me: Did you take it out of the trash?
Isaac: I begotten (forgotten) to.
Me: Well, it's gone now.
Isaac: Can you make me a new one out of wood and glue?
Me: Ummmm...no.
And I wonder why things go missing!

I know there are so many different opinions about Covid. Please allow me to have mine. No need to tell me your opinion on my page. Feel free to on your own page.
Today we were at the pediatrician for Emma's well check. Like always, they give you like 3 pages of questions to answer. I look up from answering a few and find my kids crawling all over the floor. This is why I wouldn't be surprised if we already had Covid. This is why I am sure if we haven't had it, we probably will at some point...
Today at school, Isaac got in trouble for hitting somebody at recess. I was trying to talk to him about it and this was our conversation:
Me: Isaac, what did you do at recess that wasn't nice?
Isaac: I punched somebody.
He goes on to explain what happened. We discuss using our words and what he could say next time. I conclude with:
Me: So next time you need to use your words instead of hitting.
Isaac: I didn't hit him. I punched him!

I'm not sure why I'm so bad at getting pictures on Ammon's birthday, but I am. I'm so sorry, Ammon! This year at least I remembered to take some pictures. Unfortunately they didn't turn out...
Caleb has been a peace maker lately. I know I'll need a reminder of this someday, so I wanted to make sure to write it down! Here are some examples:
Emma kept opening the bathroom door while Isaac was going to the bathroom. I kept telling Emma to stop. I finally went over to enforce and Caleb was taking Emma's hand, walking her away from the bathroom saying, "Emma, let's come over here and play."
Conner got sent outside for jumping on the couches. He went outside crying. Caleb said, "I'm going to go outside to play with Conner so he will be happy."
He says cute things to Emma a lot, like "Emma, this is your popcorn, can you eat it and not mine?"

Isaac asked me today to put out the bubble machine. I realized I don't think I've pulled it out since Emma was born! She loved it!
We had a movie and popcorn night. I just love how Emma wants to be just like her big brothers! So cute!

Okay, we recorded it!
Tonight the kids ate dinner first and then Ammon and I were eating. Emma came over to me and wanted to share my dinner with me.

Happy Thanksgiving!
We have a couple of Thanksgiving traditions in our family that we really love. The first one is Thankful Trees. All the kids who are big enough get a bare Thankful Tree and then each day they pick something they are grateful for, we write it on a leaf, and put it on their tree.
Our other tradition is a Thanksgiving Tree. We put up our pine tree and make home made Thanksgiving decorations for our Thanksgiving Tree. The kids and I always have fun making them!
This year we had our Thanksgiving Feast at the Powell's house. The kids had so much fun playing with cousins!
A few years ago we cooked one turkey in the smoker and one in the oven. The smoked turkey was picked clean and we still had lots of oven turkey left. It was surprising how much drier the oven turkey was. We have never done another oven turkey since that Thanksgiving. This year Kendall tried a method of pulling out some of the bones before cooking it. By pulling out he bones, the turkey laid flat and we could fit more turkeys in the smoker. In the past years, we've had to transport smokers to the host's house to fit all the turkeys in.

It has become our family's tradition to go camping the day after Thanksgiving, and we love it! It seems like every year Ammon and I struggle with wanting to go as we are packing everything; but once we get there, we always have so much fun! We have gone to Enchanted Rock each year, but we have decided not to go there next year. The campground has gone down hill a lot the past two years.
This year, the bathrooms were only open for 3 hours a day (they had port-a-potties the other 21 hours), and it rained the first night there. So we only stayed one night.
I wouldn't let Emma climb this huge rock because there were too many places for her to fall off. So I picked a different rock for her to climb that wasn't nearly as big, and this is what she thought of it...
I think the kids favorite part of camping is night time. It doesn't matter what time of day we set up the tent, they are ready to go to bed right then! 10 am, no problem, let's go to bed! Also, once it gets dark they get glow sticks and to make SMORES!

As we are decorating the Christmas tree we were talking about the Christmas story. Conner said, "I know what the three wise men brought! Frankenstein, gold and Murry!"
We finished painting and putting together Emma's room today! We took the front off her crib, so she now has a big girl bed! She was excited to go to sleep in her bed!
Emma has been very interested in the boy's underwear for a bit. But today I found her on the toilet, with toilet paper, wiping her bum! Yikes! Is she REALLY ready to potty train????
