It is always SO SO SO hot and humid on the 4th of July. Like unbearably humid and hot. This year I didn't want to spend 3+ hours outside for fireworks.

We invited our friends over for a BBQ and then did some ground fireworks in our backyard.
Our home is a 4 bedroom home, but only has 1 living space. For a while we had the four bedrooms as: master bedroom, play room, office (and craft and guest) room, and all 4 kids in one room. Then we decided to move Conner and Isaac to the guest bedroom, so that we only had 2 kids in each room. One night, after being put to bed, Isaac came down and said he didn't want to sleep with Conner anymore. I somewhat jokingly said, "The only other place you can sleep in is under the stairs." to which Isaac said, "Ok!" We moved all the toys out and put a toddler size mattress in there, and it has become his bedroom. It's actually worked out really well! One night he "decorated" his door as he was going to bed.

After putting the kids to bed, Ammon and I were watching tv in the family room. We watched out of the corner of our eyes as Emma laid down on her tummy and slid down the stairs. Then she covered her eyes and slowly and quietly walked over towards us. Which of course, since she couldn't see us, meant that we couldn't see her sneaking out of bed. Unfortunately for her, Daddy still discovered her out of bed! It was so cute and funny!

Grandpa and Grandma Eggett took us to Great Wolf Lodge! It was so much fun! We loved how the deepest pools were only 4ft deep, it made us so much more comfortable with our kids in the pools!

Next we went to my Aunt & Uncle's cabin in the Arizona mountains! It was beautiful, and the cabin was amazing! It had a long zipline that we loved going on!

Grandma had some fun activities planned like water guns and pool noodle sword fight! We of course did more zip lining! And we went to the Rodeo that night. Poor Caleb got sick and threw up at the Rodeo, so Ammon and Caleb missed most of it. Luckily, after that he was fine and not sick anymore.
The kids went out and did a race to catch a chicken. None of my kids caught a chicken, and Emma was very sad about it!

Today we went to a lake and played in the water. We also played board games at the cabin. Unfortunately, today (the day before we go home), both Conner and Isaac started throwing up. Unlike Caleb (one and done throwing up), they threw up multiple times. We were worried about our 14 hour drive home the next day. But they slept through the night and did great in the van.

Emma tip toes downstairs when she is supposed to be in bed. When she gets over to me I tell her she needs to go to bed. She says, "but I need to tell you sumping."
Me: What do you need to tell me?
Emma: Are you playing blocks? (aka sudoku)
Me: That isn't telling me something, that is asking a question.
Emma: Oh.
Me: Did you want to tellme something?
Emma: (lots of pauses as she tries to make something up) Umm.....one day......I said.....You're my Momma.
Me: Thank you, I am so glad you know I'm your Momma. Now go to bed.
Emma: Okay.
And she goes up to bed.
