Caleb tried a War Head candy today. My kids love to tell me the "love it" as food touches their lips. I'm always telling them to chew and swallow before deciding if they like it. Caleb popped the War Head in his mount and said, "Mmmm Mmmm" and then he really tasted it.
Our Church did a Hawaiian themed Christmas party this year. I'll be honest, it wasn't our favorite. I think Caleb was the only one who sat on Santa's Lap.

Emma has been singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer a lot. When they say Commit, she thinks they say Conner. She thinks it's funny that Conner is a reindeer!

Every year the preschool we send our kids to does a Christmas Concert. I always love the cute songs they sing! It's a highlight of the Christmas season!
Tonight we went to the North Pole Village. It is the most amazing thing! It's inside a gym, but they make it look like a little village. Each child gets a punch card allowing them to participate in each of the little shops one time.I didn't get a lot of pictures this year.
First, go see Santa!
At the bakery, the kids get to frost and decorate sugar cookies!
At the elves workshop, they get their face painted.
At the church, we listen to the story of Jesus' birth.
There is also a post office where you write a letter to santa, a library where you get to pick out one book to take home, an animal store where you get to pick out a stuffed animal to take home, Ice fishing (think the traditional "fishing" game where they attach a piece of candy to the end of a string), a school where they have some learning activities
This has become one of our families favorite traditions in December!

This year we tried another festival type thing that I have heard so many good things about. It is called Sights and Sounds of Christmas. They had carnival rides & food, which we didn't do. But we went to Bethlehem, which was really cool! We got to watch a potter and dip candles.
We also went to the petting zoo
Took pictures with the Christmas lights.
And played in the kid zone.
It was fun to go. My favorite part was the Bethlehem town. I don't know if we'll do it again though.

This year we are traveling to Utah to spend Christmas with my parents. Our favorite route to Utah is through Colorado Springs. Near Colorado Springs is a place called Santa's Workshop Amusement Park. We decided to go!
We got to watch a glass blower, which was so cool!
Conner and I got to ride on Santa's Sleigh!
That afternoon we finished the drive to Grandpa and Grandma's house!

Tonight we got to ride on the Polar Express! We had so much fun! We got to eat yummy treats, sing Christmas songs and got visited by Santa!

Christmas Sunday
There was some kind of stomach something passing through our family while in Utah. When the kids had it, they just laid around and slept it off pretty fast. Ammon got the worst of it and was sick the day after Christmas. He stayed in bed all day and took it easy the next day as well.

Our last day in Utah and we had only been able to do a small amount of sledding on the first full day. We couldn't leave Utah without playing in more snow! So we went up Provo Canyon and found a great spot!
Emma was there too....I somehow didn't get a single picture of her. Oops.
On our drive home I got sick. Mine was more like the kids where I could just sleep it off with an couple of naps.
Because we had all been sick, we decided to postpone our traditional New Years Eve party with friends.
