I work with the Cub Scouts in our church. This year we decided to do a parent taught summer day camp instead of the council one. It was A LOT of work for me, planning and organizing it all. I was there off and on each of the 5 days, but didn't have to teach. It was a huge success! The boys loved it and the parents loved that their kids were actually completing adventures!
Anyways, one of the days we met at a local park, Fischer Park, and the cub scouts got to go fishing. Before the day camp started, Grandpa Dietz let Conner do some fishing. Conner LOVED it, and Isaac was sad that we ran out of time and that he didn't get a turn. So we went back that night and had a really fun evening! A big part of what made fishing so much fun is that they caught fish as fast as we could cast! It was just one fish right after the next!

Ammon has been working a lot of overtime lately (with no end in sight), so for Father's Day he wanted a weekend getaway to spend time as a family! We got a hotel on the San Antonio River Walk. We went to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. Everyone loved it! We told them it was Conner's birthday so he got a special animal crown to wear. Conner and Isaac loved all the moving animals!
The next morning we walked around SA, including the Alamo. It was a relaxing trip and we all had so much fun!
Since Conner's birthday had been the weekend before, we said it was his birthday at the Rainforest Cafe. He got to wear a frog crown and they sang to him. He was suppose to snap his arms like an alligator and wiggle his tail. Meanwhile, Isaac only had eyes for the cake! lol
These next few pictures cracked me up! Our hotel room closet doors were mirrors and Caleb LOVED looking at himself in them!
Silly face!
Kissing himself!
Happy boy!
This weekend we had another weekend getaway (this one was planned before the spontaneous Father's Day weekend). We headed up to the Dallas/Fort Worth area Saturday morning and went to the LegoLand Discovery Center. We invited the Strasser's to join us.
You purchase a timed ticket and we got there 15 minutes early, so we
just hang out at the mall. They had these fun strollers that the boys
wanted to try out!
From the second you walk into LegoLand Discovery Center there are
building stations. In this hallway, there was this built legoman and
building stations on the walls.
Learning how legos are made!
This was in the toddler building area (had Duplos). There was also a
very small play structure with a slide and jumbo legos (bigger than
bricks).
At this building station, you built a car and then they had a few race tracks that you could race them down.

Isaac's Car:
Lego Man!
There was a really fun play area:
Watching the 4D Lego movie:
There was a minimum age of 4 years old for these cars so Isaac couldn't ride it.
Another building station!
The Lego Splash Pad was a blast!
There were also 2 amusement park type rides. It was really busy so we only got to ride one of them one time. We had an amazing, very memorable day! The boys are already asking to go back again and we just left!
Tonight we will stay in a hotel so that we can continue our fun tomorrow!

Day 2 of our DFW adventure! Today we are going to Dinosaur World (not to be confused with Dinosaur State Park).
To start off, there was this fun walking path where every so often there were dinosaurs to look at!
Feeding Isaac to a T-Rex
Our dino babies are about to hatch!
Isaac kept telling us "It's going to bite my finger!" while holding his finger out. It was so cute!
There was a building that had about 5 animatronic dinosaur displays. I tried to get a video of the boys experiencing all of it, but it didn't turn out well. Here is just a small clip:
We love all the dinosaurs in the background!
There were these pretty fish, and when we would feed them, they'd jump all over each other to get the food. They were all so hungry!
Here's the video of the boys feeding them!
There was a dinosaur excavation play area:
There was also a dinosaur play ground and an artifact dig. At the artifact dig they got to use sifters to find artifacts in the sand. There were things like shark teeth and arrow heads, etc. Each child got to pick 3 to keep! Today was another memorable day! So much fun!

It's fun to see ALL of my boys playing together! Caleb is at a hard age to play trains. He either pulls the tracks apart or he sits on the middle of them!
