Conner had his first Cousins sleepover party this weekend! The theme was the movie "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids."
We played games that involved finding small things!
This first game was a container of rice with some small safety pins in it. The goal is to get out as many safety pins as you can. At the end of 1 minute, you count the number of safety pins (+1 point) and grains of rice (-1 point) and add up your total. Conner enjoyed watching this game!
This is a game where you press flour into a mold (I used a tupperware) then turn it out onto a flat surface. Then put a coin on top. Everyone takes turns cutting away part of the flour. Whoever makes the cut that causes the coin to fall into the flour has to get the coin out with their mouth. We had to play the game 4 times because each of them wanted a turn to get the coin out!
Sadie was the cleanest!
Avri took a HUGE chunk of flour out because she wanted to be next!
Talmage won the third game!
I didn't think Rigdon would want to get the coin out since he hates being dirty, but he did! I thought this was such a funny face! Once I told him the flour was not in his eyes, he opened them and smiled!
Our last activity was some hidden pictures. You know, where there are objects hidden in a picture :) The kids had fun with it!
We watched the movie, "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids." After the part where all the kids got shrunk, we went into the kitchen to find all of these shrunken treats!
Conner loved watching the movie with the big kids! He loves hanging out with his cousins so much!

Four Year Anniversary
Today is our Four Year Anniversary! Here's how we celebrated!
Such a beautiful boquet of flowers!
Yes, the tool chest is now in our kitchen. Man we can't wait to have a house with a garage!
Conner fits perfectly in my new crock pot!

Texas
We recently took a trip to Texas and had a great time! Our first stop was Krum, TX to visit Josh and Amber. It was so fun to see them again! Here are the cute cousin pictures we took :)
We had a really fun time in San Antonio! On our way home, we spent a night at Ryan and Tassia's house near Dallas. It's fun to see cousins! We had a wonderful vacation!
Then we went on to San Antonio. One of our favorite parts was the River Walk. We ate at a Mexican restaurant and got taco salads that were so yummy!
We also drove to Corpus Cristi and a small beach town a little past it called Port A. The water in the Gulf was SO warm, like bath water! Conner enjoyed it!

Falling Asleep
I put this cute little guy in his vibrator chair next to me while I was working on the computer on some things for my church calling. I put a blanket around him because it's a cold day today. He then kicked the blanket off of him, and pulled it over his eyes and went to sleep (there was a little crying involved). It made me laugh that he pulled the blanket over his eyes. Makes since, who doesn't like to sleep in a dark place!

Special Clothes
These first 2 pairs of jammies are some that Ammon use to wear as a baby. I really liked them because they're light weight and cool for the summer!
The back pocket even has tools! Look at this strong boy lifting his head up!
These next pajamas are Ammon's favorite.
This shirt is also a shirt that Ammon wore as a baby.
And I even got an adorable smile for the picture! That's hard to do because he'll smile at me, but then when I put my head behind the camera to take the picture, he stops smiling!Tuesday, September 2, 2014
Smiles
Conner has been smiling since the day he was born. We don't really know what makes him smile, but it sure is cute! The one thing we do know, is pull out the camera and he will NOT smile! But in the past week or so, when he smiles once, there are normally more to follow. And he smiles when you talk to him in a sweet voice and are really lovey. It is so much fun to have him smiling!
This morning he fell asleep so I went to go lay him down. As I lay him down I make the "shhhh"ing noise to help ease the transition from my arms to the pack n play. After I laid him down, I just stood there and continued to "shhh" for a minute or so. As I was standing there, Conner slowly opened his eyes, looked up at me and then gave me a huge smile. It was a cute smile, but it seemed to be saying "haha mama, I tricked you!" So I picked him back up and rocked him back to sleep again. What a cutie!
The other day I was able to catch a half smile on the ipad. So not very good quality, and honestly, not his best smile, but it's the only thing we've caught on camera so far! He normally does these great big (some times open mouth) smiles!
