G&G Eggett for Memeorial Day Weekend

Grandpa and Grandma Eggett came to visit us for Memorial Day weekend! We had such a fun time! They flew in Friday afternoon. That night we went to Gruene where we had dinner and walked around.
Saturday morning we dropped Isaac off at his cousin's house and the rest of us went tubing on the Comal River. We had such a fun time! I still love the chutes! That afternoon while Conner, Isaac and Ammon took their naps, my parents and I went clothes shopping and had a really fun time!
Sunday we went to church and afterwards had a birthday celebration for Conner. Since his birthday is in 2 weeks, we thought it would be fun to let him open Grandpa and Grandma's present! We also had cupcakes. Conner is really into Mickey Mouse right now, so we made him Mickey cupcakes. Super simple, but cute!

Isaac loved the paper too!

They gave him this really cool book that has a track in it. It comes with a train that you wind up, and then it drives on the tracks all over the pages of the book! You can tell by Conner's face how much he loves it!

Here are the Mickey cupcakes Grandma and I made.

Conner loved blowing out the candles! We had to relight them a few times so he could blow them out again.

On Monday we went to the Coleman (camping gear) warehouse sale, but because of bad weather the night before, they cancelled it. We were disappointed, but some yummy doughnuts cheered us up! In the afternoon Grandpa and Grandma watched the kids while Ammon and I went out on a date! That night Grandpa and Conner made cookies together! Conner's favorite part is pushing the on button and turning up the speed!

Could this be genetic? It seems oddly familiar...

Conner drug the step ladder over to "watch" Grandpa put the dough on the tray. While Grandpa wasn't looking he snuck a whole ball of dough! Lol! Yup. His love for cookie dough must be genetic!
Tuesday in the late morning they left to go back home. We miss them already!
We had such a fun time having Grandpa and Grandma here! Come again soon!

Karate

We were at the Powell's house tonight and Kendall pulled out the kids' karate gear to practice with them. Conner decided he wanted in on the action so he put on one of the protective helmets. Kendall helped him put on the gloves and they sparred!

Mother's Day Weekend

I had a fantastic Mother's Day weekend. My boys spoiled me!

On Saturday we went for a family bike ride! Conner is sad because I took off his fishey hat for the picture.

Sunday morning Ammon made this delicous Kneeders style french toast and bacon for breakfast!

Conner gave me these adorable Mother's Day cards that he made in preschool.

I really wanted a Mother's Day photo shoot. I think they turned out great! I had a hard time picking my favorites!

I think Conner looks so grown up and smart in this one!

And I swear I've seen this smile before...probably in one of Daddy's childhood pictures.

He's such a happy boy!

For dinner we had steak and home made rolls!

Home made rolls are a special treat around here, and man do we love them. Of course they are best warm from the oven. My recipe makes a ton of rolls, so Conner and I took some to a couple of our neighbors.

Cereal and Milk...

We don't eat cereal very often. But today we did and I decided it was time to introduce Conner to milk in his cereal.

He's saying "cheese"

I'm thinking, "What a big boy!"

Then this happened. Not once, but twice. The first time it landed in a pile and I picked it back up. This time, we were done.
I don't think I'll be putting milk in his cereal again for a while.

Playing

This year Conner is joined by Isaac in his love for the pool! Conner is tall enough to get the dive stick out of the deep end of the kiddy pool (1.5'). He loves playing with the dive sticks!

This is a foam block for flowers, golfing Tees and a wooden hammer. Endless fun!
