Sleeping Standing Up

Conner wasn't acting very tired, but I knew he needed a nap. It was past his normal nap time, and I was afraid if I didn't put him down now, he wouldn't get one today. I put him in his crib and let him cry. He never did stop crying. When I resigned to him actually taking a nap and went in to get him, this is how I found him.

He's not all the way asleep. He was still whining, just with his eyes closed! Poor little guy! I didn't want him to completely fall asleep like this, I was afraid he'd fall and get hurt or scare himself. So I went ahead and got him our of his crib. If I would have laid him down, he would have just started crying all over again. So we got ready and left for the grocery store. 10 minutes later when we got to the grocery store, he was asleep again. And again, I had to wake him up! Why do kids have to fight taking a nap so much!?! Tell me to go take a nap and you won't hear a complaint!

First Haircut

Ammon was getting a haircut tonight, and we decided to see how well Conner would do with the clippers. He did great! I had to hold his head still because he kept wanting to turn to see what was making the noise. But other than that, he really didn't seem to mind! When we were all done cutting his hair, I realized how badly he had needed a haircut. Such a handsome little boy!

Happy Surprise

I could hear Conner upstairs talking - he was waking up from his nap. When I went in his bedroom, I was surprised to find him standing in his crib! He's been pulling himself up on furniture for a while now, so we knew it was just a matter of time before he pulled himself up in his crib. But the first time is fun! Oh, and he was SO proud of himself! Lol!

Conner in the Pool

Today was a beautiful day! It was warm enough that I decided to take Conner to the kiddy pool in our neighborhood. It goes from 1 foot - 1 1/2 feet, so it's really shallow. There is a step that runs the length of the pool, and I figured Conner would just walk along that (holding on to my hands). Meaning that I'd only get wet to slightly above my ankles. So I just wore my regular clothes. BIG MISTAKE!! Conner wanted to get all the way in! He loved jumping off of the step into the 1 1/2 foot water. He'd smile really big and splash (making me even more wet!). I was wearing shorts, but they got soaked. We had a good time!

Peanut Butter

I Conner his first taste of peanut butter today. I put it on the roof of his mouth and was hoping for a good reaction. He liked it, but it's really not that funny of a reaction. Neither Ammon nor I have nut allergies anywhere in our close genetics, but to be on the safe side, we are parked in the the hospital parking lot when I gave it to him!

Utah

Conner and I went to Utah for a visit and had such a fun time! We never get enough pictures, though! Here is what we have!
Conner and I went and visited Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Fisher! Aunt Laurie came over too!

 Conner and Grandma Eggett playing!

Like I said in another post, sleeping babies are just so sweet!

Conner got to eat Grandpa Eggett's famous cookies for the first time!
Based on the size of bites he took, I think he liked them a lot!

Conner having a smiley morning! It's hard to get a picture of him and have it not be blury. This is about as good as it gets!

We were in Utah for Carter and Tanner's 2nd birthday, so we visited their grave and put pinwheels up. Conner LOVED the pinwheels!
